Sky Tempesta Racing triumphed at the Intelligent Money British GT Championship double header weekend at Snetterton Circuit. The team won both races in the Silver-Am Championship on Sunday 18 June. Drivers Chris Froggatt and Kevin Tse, currently lead the Silver-Am standings by 24.5 points, having secured a place on the podium in every championship race so far.

The team started in the Silver-Am Pole position and forth on the overall grid following Kevin Tse’s brilliant qualifying performance, taking a 1:47.966 lap time. Starting in the second row, Kevin Tse, put in a strong drive and pushed hard to keep high in the group. The team pitted as soon as the pit window opened, allowing Sky Tempesta Racing to keep the lead in the Silver-Am category. The second half of the race saw Chris Froggatt defending the lead position in Silver-Am against the #8 ABBA Racing Mercedes-AMG right to the end of the race where they finished 4th overall and 1st in the Silver-Am category.

The second race saw Sky Tempesta Racing starting in 4th in the Silver-Am class and 16th on the overall grid. The Silver-Am cars were packed together in the first half of the race meaning Chris Froggatt had to defend hard to stay in position, giving the car over the Kevin Tse in 3rd position in their category. Kevin Tse took his stint by storm, starting in 13th overall position, gaining five places in just 25 minutes taking the McLaren 730s GT3 Evo over the line in 8th position overall and 1st in Silver-Am Category.

Sky Tempesta lead the Silver-Am standings with 143 points this season, with the closest rival drivers having 118.5 points. The next Intelligent Money British GT Championship race is the season’s overseas round, taking place at Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portgual on Sunday 22 July. The championship then returns to Great Britian for Brands Hatch on Sunday 10 September, and the final round taking place at Donington on Sunday 22 October.
