Froggatt joined by Cheever, Buncombe & Hui for Ferrari campaigns

Chris Froggatt of Tempesta Racing today announces a busy 2019 schedule with the Ferrari 488 in the Blancpain Endurance Series, GT Open & select Ferrari Challenge races.

Chris graduates as 2018 Ferrari Challenge Champion to the Endurance racing GT scene.

The cars will be entered under the Tempesta Racing banner with technical and engineering support by AF Corse.

For his Blancpain Endurance Series campaign, Chris will be joined by 2018 Blancpain Endurance Pro-Am Champion, Chris Buncombe and Hong Kong racer, Jonathan Hui. The trio will fight for Pro-Am honours.

The GT Open entry will see Froggatt joined by Ferrari WEC driver, Eddie Cheever.

‘I’m really looking forward to this busy season of racing ahead. It will be my first step into longer endurance races and will certainly provide new challenges. I’ve known all my Team mates for a little while now and pleased with the line ups that we have pulled together’

commented Christopher Froggatt.

Chris Buncombe is looking forward to the new challenge in the Ferrari ‘I had a taste of the 488 when I joined Chris for the FIA Nations Cup races in Bahrain at the end of last year. It’s a fantastic car I can’t wait to get back on track in it! I love the racing in the Blancpain GT Series and will do what we can to challenge for the Pro-Am title again.’

‘I have been waiting a long time for the right opportunity to enter the Blancpain Endurance Series and couldn’t have asked for a better team and driver line up to pair with. All my focus in the past few years have been in endurance races and I’m hopeful those experiences will bring a positive contribution towards Tempesta Racing’s 2019 campaign’ said Jonathan.

Eddie Cheever commented “I am very happy to be a part of the Tempesta Racing team for what I am sure will be a great year. I’m hopeful we can challenge at the front and the target will be to fight for a win”

The team will make their first on track appearance in Paul Ricard for the Blancpain GT Media days on 13th & 14th March.
